From his significant win at the age of 16 on "Australia's Got Talent" and more recently hailed as "Best New Talent" by Guitar Player Magazine USA Reader's Poll, Joe Robinson has been knocking people out with his guitar skills for almost half his life. His new album Let Me Introduce You (recorded in Nashville & Detroit) features his vocals, songwriting, electric guitar and a full band for the first time.
Joe is truly a virtuoso musician, best known for his fast-paced fingerpicking style. His jaw dropping instrumental stylings have garnered the attention of the public worldwide, as well as many guitar masters. At a young age he has played headline shows in major centers all over the globe. As an award winning and prolific songwriter/composer, fearless and energetic performer and humble, likeable individual Robinson seems destined for greatness.
Joe began playing guitar as a youth growing up in the Australian bush. The young prodigy soon began playing and touring with many of the top names in the Australian music industry. The release of his 2005 debut CD Birdseed led to an invitation for the then fourteen year old to perform in Nashville, TN with one of his guitar idols, Tommy Emmanuel. It was this trip which brought him to the attention of Grammy Award winning producer Frank Rogers, who would produce his next outing Time Jumpin, released in May 2009. Shortly before the recording of this project, Joe performed on 'Australia's Got Talent' in 2008, and ended up winning the Grand Final to widespread critical acclaim.
