Los Lobos - Goes Disney

Los Lobos - Goes Disney
The band consists of: - David Hidalgo: singer/guitarist - Louie Perez: singer/guitarist - Cesar Rosas: singer/guitarist - Conrad Lozano: singer/bassist - Steve Berlin: sax - Cougar Estrada: drummer Band member Steve Berlin had this to say about the album: Were all happy with it. The kids record doesnt sound like a kids record. It just sounds like Los Lobos playing funky old songs, so I imagine over time well probably be integrating some of those songs into our set. Check out our review of the songs on the album below: 1. Heigh-Ho (from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs) A very fun song that mimics the original Heigh-Ho song from the Snow White movie that we all know and love. This song will get any Disney connoisseur up out of their seats and dancing just from the first few notes! 2. I Wanna Be Like You (from The Jungle Book) One of our favorite songs from The Jungle Book movie we think the band really hit this song on the head. While it may not be the same voices as the original it sounds very similar and it puts a smile on our face as we can picture Baloo and Mowgli dancing around to this song! 3. Not in Nottingham (from Robin Hood) A great song from the Robin Hood movie! We are so glad that this song is included on the album. This song is a bit slower than the rest on the album, but absolutely a great fit! 4. The Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room (from The Enchanted Tiki Room) Oh. my. goodness. First off, we LOVE the Enchanted Tiki Room show at Disney, especially the revamped version, and this is the best song from the show! You cant help but laugh when you hear this song, and honestly we start dancing in our seat whenever it comes on! 5. Grim Grinning Ghosts (from The Haunted Mansion) A fun song from the Disney Haunted Mansion ride. Definitely one of the most memorable songs from any Disney park. This is a perfect song for the Halloween season! 6. I Will Go Sailing No More (from Toy Story) A great song to include since Toy Story 3 is on the way to theaters next year. We love all of the Toy Storys and while this song is slower than most on the album it still puts us very much in the Disney mood and makes us really want to watch the original Toy Story Movie! 7. The Ugly Bug Ball (from Summer Magic) A fun song that makes you tap your foot. The song is from a Disney movie produced back in 1963. This is definitely one of the oldest songs on the album, but its charm is still intact and we love it! 8. Cruella De Vil (from 101 Dalmatians) Definitely a classic! Whenever we hear this song we think of Selena Gomezs cover of it, but this cover is right up there too! If you are planning on dressing up as a Disney Villain for Halloween this would be our choice! 9. Bella Notte (from Lady and the Tramp) We have to start off by saying that we LOVE this Disney Movie. Lady and the Tramp is one of the cutest movies out there and the scene where the two characters are eating spaghetti is a classic Disney Movie Scene. Thats all we can think of when we hear this lovely song! 10. Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah (from Song of the South) Most people cant place where the Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah song is from, but it is absolutely a Disney Classic! This is one of our favorite songs to come from Disney it puts a smile on your face no matter what kind of day you are having. 11. The Bare Necessities (from The Jungle Book) This is a song that makes us dance every time we listen to it! Again all we can picture is Baloo dancing around the jungle singing and it makes us laugh just thinking about it. This song also has a great message about relaxing and taking it easy rather than stressing out! 12. Oo-De-Lally (from Robin Hood) Another song from Robin Hood that we love. We think that Los Lobos did an amazing job covering this song to make it sound very similar to the original. The lyrics are fun and intriguing and we cant help but sway in our seat to the song. 13. When You Wish Upon a Star (from Its a Small World and Pinocchio) We love that music from both the Pinocchio movie and Its a Small World ride were used in this song. Meshing the two definitely made this song what it is and it is one of our favorite on the album.
